We design it, prove it, then have it built

Zhuhai SpeedTune Technology Co., Ltd. · Zhuhai, Guangdong, China

SpeedTune started in 2016 in Zhuhai with a group of BMW owners who kept hitting the same wall: the parts on the market either did not deliver what they promised, or cost more than the car was worth. So we started developing our own — one platform at a time, one part at a time — and selling them to the people who kept asking where we got them.

Today we are a design and product company. The CAD, the material and process specification, the dyno and road validation, the fitment data and the after-sales policy are all ours. Production runs at partner factories that build to our drawings, our tolerances and our inspection standard — which is how a small team covers BMW's 2021+ S58, B58 and B48 platforms, and the other makes we develop for, without owning a machine shop.

Everything we sell starts from a specific car: which platform, which chassis code, which engine, which year range — defined before the first drawing. We are not a trading company reselling someone else's catalogue, and we are not a heavy factory chasing volume. Both of those trade away the two things our customers actually pay for: a design that solves a specific problem, and a result you can feel on the car.

We do not list a part just because it exists. A product reaches this site when it has a defined platform, a defined improvement and a reason to be fitted. If it does not make the car better, we do not sell it.

How we design

  • Start from the failure, not the parts list. Every product begins with a measured problem — heat soak on the third pull, timing retard past 40 °C IAT, a cracked plastic end tank.
  • Design against numbers, not adjectives. Every part gets target values — intake air temperature, pressure drop, fitment tolerance — written into the spec before the first prototype.
  • Design for the installer. OEM mounting points, factory hose routing, no cutting, illustrated install guide in the box.
  • Declare the material and the process. Whether it is 2618, 6061-T6 or 4340, we say so — on the product page, not only in the sales deck.
  • Honest fitment. Chassis, year range and engine code listed exactly. If it does not fit, the customer must see that before paying.
  • Iterate in months, not model cycles. Working with partner factories lets us revise a design from real customer feedback instead of living with it for years.

What we validate (the effect you get)

Whatever the category — cooling, fuel, turbo, engine internals, electronics or chassis — the question is the same: what changed on the car? These are the figures we design and check against; ask us for the data behind any specific part.

Performancepower and torque delta, spool and throttle response
Thermalintake air, coolant and oil temperature behaviour under load
Flow & pressureflow before/after, pressure drop or backpressure
Drivetrain & chassisweight, stiffness, load paths, NVH
Electronicsfunctions added, fault-code behaviour, sealing and IP rating
Fitmentchassis, year range, engine code, no-modification fit check

How we keep quality without owning a factory

  • Choosing the factory is part of the design — we pick the process that fits the part (billet machining, bar-and-plate core brazing, forging, TIG welding, electronics).
  • Every order is produced to our drawings and tolerance stack, not to a factory's own catalogue.
  • Material certificates for each aluminium and steel batch.
  • First-article inspection: we approve a sample before the batch runs.
  • Pressure-test log for coolers; VSR balancing data sheet for turbochargers.
  • Pre-shipment inspection with photos, and a packing list for every export order.
  • After-sales is handled by us directly — a claim never gets passed back to the factory.

What we make

Every part below is developed for a named platform — chassis code, engine and year range are defined before the design work starts.

  • Billet charge-air cooler manifolds — S58 / B58 / B48
  • Front heat exchangers and auxiliary radiators
  • Water/methanol injection systems with LCD controllers
  • Upgraded turbochargers and titanium charge pipes
  • Forged pistons, H-beam rods and engine hardware
  • Carbon fibre and billet chassis bracing
  • Electronic exhaust valve kits and gauge displays
  • OEM / ODM projects under your brand and packaging
